In this episode of The UFFDA! Podcast, Emily sits down for another solo episode and today we’re diving into the process of working toward a goal and how tracking is one of the most beneficial things you can do along the way! So maybe the title is a bit of a clickbait, BUT we’ve likely all been on a path toward a goal - health and fitness related or otherwise. There are times that we’re cruising, no worries at all and there are times when frustration is common. We can have the same goal that we have in mind, but it feels like nothing’s going right. Or, worse, it feels like “we’re doing all the right things and not getting anywhere or seeing the progress we want to see”... Tracking is the KEY to getting out of this frustration.

Step One: Set your goal - 3:41 --> If you don't know where you're going, you can't know how to get there.
How do YOU define progress? - 4:56 --> It doesn't matter what others view as progress. We need to know how YOU see progress on the way to your goal. There are two main types and we dive into both.
Honesty is key. - 10:23 --> If you're not honest, we don't have a complete data set to make decisions from and those decisions are misinformed based on the (lack of) data we have in front of us. You have to be honest with what you're writing down and tracking.
Use data to make decisions. 13:45 --> Using the data, we can make decisions to increase the actions that move us toward our goals while decreasing the ones that move us away from our end goal.
Wrapping up and conclusion. - 16:30 --> That's it. It can be simple but not easy. But tracking is truly one of the keys to seeing results and KNOWING that you're experiencing the progress you want to see and work toward.
